Hello everyone, this is Jessica.

On September 29, I was informed by the agency (SM Entertainment) that I would be leaving Girls’ Generation.
I cannot hide that I was frustrated and heart-broken about this, so I would like to state my own public statement.

I have always put Girls' Generation activities top priority over my personal and biz life.
Regardless of my dedication, "I was noticed to leave the team by the agency".

I have always taken care of informing my agency and other members about my personal biz while I was planning,
and I had sufficiently consulted my agency as well as other members about my preparation and asked for their understanding in this matter.

In the beginning of August when I was about to launch my 'BLANC' biz, I received an agreement and permission from my agency,
and received congratulations from other members as well.

However, in early September, after only a month since the launching of 'BLANC', other members unexpectedly changed their stances,
and told me either to quit my business or to leave the team without any proper reasons at the meeting with me.

I explained to other members that I had already obtained a permission from the agency,
and I had never neglected any activities of the team. And I also explained that I could not simply terminate my business due to my contract with my business partner.
Consequentially, I appealed that it was unjustifiable for me to make a choice.

For me, becoming a Girls' Generation member was the best thing in my entire life, and I had never ever thought about quitting.
I had no choice, but to meet with the CEO of the agency on September 16 to deliver my position,
and re-clarify the agency's permission for carrying out my business.

However, on September 29, I was given a unilateral notice asking me to leave the team.
I was also ruled out to attend the fan meeting in Shenzhen, China on September 30,
and I have also been excluded all of the upcoming team's activities.

Now I am in great pain and cannot hide my miserable condition that I was asked to leave the team
because of the reason that I am doing my biz by the agency and fellow members, whom I have spent 15 years together.

I also want to apologize for causing any concerns to all the fans.
Please understand that this situation is against my will,
and I have always regarded my team as the most precious one, and I will continue to do so.
